Propane Hoses and Propane Regulator Kits: Choose from 1 PSI to 20 PSI propane regulator kits and gas hoses. Make sure your burner can handle these regulator kits. If you get a regulator kit that has too many PSI (pound per square inch), you'll either ruin your burner or the flame will blow itself out. Most turkey fryers use a 10 PSI regulator (Item # MF-BPRLO or 5HPR). If you have a turkey fryer with a cast burner that is around 5 1/2 inches in diameter, or looks like the burner in our MF-BPRLO picture, this burner can handle the 20 PSI regulator (5HPR-1), increasing the BTUs on your turkey fryer burner. You must purchase an orifice in order for this regulator kit to work.
When switching regulators or upgrading regulators, please use with caution. There is a reason why we sell most turkey fryers with a 10 PSI regulator. With higher heat, you are looking at higher risk. You must watch the temperature of your turkey fryer oil closely. You do not want to heat it too fast! The only time we suggest upgrading your regulator is when you will be buying larger pots for boiling seafood or clam bakes.
